Some of the best weather we seem to get in Edinburgh tends to be in March and April, and during this time of the year in 2016 we were still in our old flat, so it's been lovely to take advantage of the recent sunny weekends from our new house (which has a sun-trap of a back garden during the day, score!)
We're based near Canonmills, which means that we're only a five minute walk from the amazing Botanic Gardens - something that we're loving, especially considering that if you don't buy tickets to the greenhouses it's actually free to wander through!
On a recent sunny Saturday, we picked up bagels and coffee on our walk over and enjoyed the sunshine on one of the Garden's many grassy hills, before having a little walk through admiring some of the earlier blooming flowers, before I 'persuaded' Sean that he should take some outfit photos for me.
I was sent a dress by the vintage/retro inspired brand Lindy Bop over the Christmas period which was how I discovered them, and now I'm completely obsessed. This gorgeous Lipstick print dress was a steal in the sale (and even though it isn't available anymore, you can still pick up the same print in the skirt or wiggle dress).
I'm completely in love with all the sweet little details - the heart shaped mini pockets and the heart shaped cut-out on the back are so cute, and the dress is really well made, the material is a good light weight and whilst it does need an iron when you've washed it, it doesn't tend to crease too much when you're wearing it!
The Lindy Bop sale is always fantastic so it's well worth having a browse - I've got my eye on this gorgeous Puffin Print dress and this Tea Party dress at the moment <3. The new in section is just as tempting, currently wondering whether Sean fancies getting me an Easter gift in the form of this amazing Flamingo print wiggle dress.
Now that the weekends are getting sunnier I'm on the look-out for more outdoor activities that Sean and I can do - bearing in mind that I'm not one for climbing big hills! I love a gentle walk though, along the beaches in East Lothian or through cute towns and villages, so if you live near Edinburgh please give me some recommendations! We have a car so can easily reach somewhere just outside the city, so anything and everything would be gratefully received!
