Polka dots and sunsets

Long time no see you guys! Lots has been happening in my life since I last blogged - Sean and I have bought a three bedroom house which we are in the midst of trying to decorate and buy furniture for, we're getting a cat, planning our wedding AND just back from a ridiculously amazing two week Baltic cruise. I know I know, life is hard, life is tough.

I hadn't even realised I hadn't blogged in so long until this weekend when I finally sat down to sort through all my emails and photos and realised it had been MONTHS. Still, never mind - I'm back now and I have lots to share with you all.

I'd never been on a cruise before the one I'm just back from, but I'd mug a toddler for the chance to do another one. What could be better than spending your days sightseeing in a different city each day before spending your evenings eating three course meals, drinking 6 different types of cocktail and doing an embarrassing dance routine to the Cupid Shuffle?

The cruise ship we were on started off in Copenhagen and also went to Rostock, Tallinn, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm. At a pinch I'd say Helsinki was my ultimate fave, but I'd also go back to St Petersburg in a heartbeat - some of their buildings are a blogger paradise you guys, even the subway stations are full of marble and gold!

One of the nice things about being on a cruise is that you're basically encouraged to get dressed up every single night - something that was bad for my luggage allowance but fantastic for the opportunity to finally wear some of the gorgeous dresses that have been practically languishing in my wardrobe.

This lovely little polka dot number is from House of Fraser and it's the perfect summer evening dress. It's light and floaty (no, you accidentally flashed the people walking past whilst these photos were being taken) and super flattering considering that the material is pretty thin.

If you're on the look out for a pretty new dress of your own, HOF has a fantastic sale on at the moment with loads of bargains to be had. I've been eyeing up this dress and also this one. Now, how to persuade Sean that we need to go on another holiday so I have an excuse to buy them?
