There isn't much better, in my opinion, than a lovely sunny Sunday where you have nothing specific planned - just a nice book to read, some cider to drink and a garden to sit in. This last Sunday was a real scorcher - I was woken up early by the sunshine streaming in through my windows and it didn't abate all day. The perfect day really to give my Yumi 30 Days of Summer outfit its first outing.

If you haven't heard of Yumi, I'd highly suggest you stepping away from this blog post for a moment and going to check out the website. They've been one of my faves since my uni days - chockablock with pretty dresses and unique prints. So when they asked me to take part in their 30 Days of Summer showcase, really the only hard decision was picking an outfit.

This sleeveless polka dot chambray skater dress is the ultimate summer day dress - the cut and the contrasting belt combine to provide an über flattering fit, and the material is lovely and lightweight - perfect for a hot summer's day! The lace detail kimono was a practical choice, although to look at it I'm sure you'd assume I picked it purely for how beautiful it is (insert heart eyes emoji here). Often on a sunny day if I'm sat outside I'll want to throw something on to protect my shoulders, but if the temperature is a bit on the sweltering side you don't want anything heavy - this kimono is the perfect solution! I adore the combination of the dress and the kimono together and the classic colour way of blue and white really only requires one accessory - a bold red lip.

Which dress would be your summer dress of choice? Would you opt for the little dotty number like me, or would you go for a bolder print?
