Coat: Dorothy Perkins
Scarf: Missguided
Boots: New Look

I've never really been a 'classic capsule wardrobe' kinda gal, much preferring to spend my pennies on heaps of disposable fashion items that are almost certain to go out of fashion within a matter of months. (Although I did resist the disco pants trend - whatever happened to that eh?)

This year though, I had my mind set on something particular to pick up in the post Christmas sales. I wanted a new coat - and it had to fit some very specific criteria. I wanted it to be classic, I wanted it to be longer than knee length, I wanted it to be warm, I wanted it to go with everything...and I wanted it to be camel.

Err - okay, so maybe I was swayed away from my vision VERY SLIGHTLY. What can I say though? This Dotty P's number jumped out at me as soon as I saw it, and it was also on a twenty percent off deal. I've not worn any other coat since, this baby goes with absolutely every outfit you could think of. Teamed with my Missguided blanket scarf and my knee high boots and I'm as snug as a bug in a rug. Result.

P.S. Psst - the coat is almost half price in the sale now - quick, bag a bargain!

  3. love that scarf!! I've been trying to create a bit of a capsule wardrobe and not buying too many clothes that are going to go out of fashion but pretty much failed miserably!
