Aren't these just the dreamiest pictures you ever did see? Last Friday I was lucky enough to be invited along as a blogger guest to the launch of Olivia Burton watches in Boutique Goldsmiths at Westfield Stratford. I don't think there's a blogger about who doesn't covet one of these beautiful vintage and catwalk inspired timepieces, there's something for everyone from big dials with leather straps to something delicate in rose gold.
Probably the most recognisable Olivia Burton watch is the butterfly design that you can see here, and at the event I had a chat with co-founder Jemma who clued me in on its background - its based on one of her great grandfathers collection of preserved butterflies. How lovely is it to be able to wear something with its own little piece of history?
If you're like me and try to rock as many pastels as you can during the Spring you'll be pleased to know that there's a whole heap of lovely lilac, mint and dusty pink options to choose from, and one of the great things about this brand is that there's so many styles on offer you don't have to compromise on the features you love. If you want pastel straps with a big plain face you got it, if you love the mint colour but you'd quite like to stick with the sweet animal motifs you can have that as well!
As you can probably tell by the last photo, I was particularly drawn to a lovely hummingbird emblazoned watch with a mink leather strap, so imagine my delight when I peeked in the bag I was given as I left to find this within? It turns out the lovely ladies at Olivia Burton had judged my taste perfectly and I can't wait to show you it in an outfit post tomorrow - its a real beauty!
