A couple of weeks back I was asked to blog at Fashion Scout London in association with Panasonic and my new most favourite LumixGM1 camera* which I reviewed here. For a heart-stopping moment I thought I was going to have to turn it down as the curse of a teacher means I can't get weekdays off of work but as luck would have it my equally fashion obsessed sister was more than happy to pop along in my place on the days I couldn't make it. Today was the first day so as I headed into work weighed down with newly marked books Megan was heading up to the Andrew Barton salon in Covent Garden for some bubbles and a fresh new hairstyle ready for the day ahead.

Lulu Liu

The first show was Lulu Liu and judging by the photos this would have been one of my favourites of the day, the colours are so rich and vibrant and I love the patterns used in the clothes. My favourite outfit is the yellow and navy skirt/top combination - stunning! Plus can we just talk about the makeup? What a perfect lip colour.

Jamie Wei Huang

The models at Jamie Wei Huang wore sleek and slick ponytails alongside their outfits which consisted of a lot of structured and interestingly cut pieces in lots of navy, cream and check. I feel like the shoes in the second picture would be the dream footwear of about a thousand bloggers across the country and accessories-wise whilst I'm not sure I could rock the headgear I am dreaming about those clutch bags.

Ones to Watch

The Ones to Watch show consisted of four amazing up and coming designers: Carrie-Ann Stein, Sarah Ryan, Hiroko Nakajima and George Styler. Stein's collection was colourful, urban and a little futuristic what with those amazing vertical plaits. Ryan's was more monochromatic but full of interesting textures (and absolutely ginormous bags.) Nakajima seemed to put a bit of a modern twist on classic shapes, adding colour and interesting accessories to jumper dresses and midi skirts. Plus there were some pretty wacky funnel hats adding a touch of the fashionably bizarre. Lastly there was the fabulous craziness of Styler's metallic, glittery, studded and basically totally fierce offering. I have no doubt we'll be seeing a lot more from these guys in the future!

Last up are some gorgeous photos from mine and Megan's favourite show - Ong-Oaj Pairam, a Thai born womenswear designer who specialises in the most beautiful dresses you've ever seen in your life. Fact. The collection is full of printed silks and soft tailoring and above all, every piece is something that you'd want to wear. Also can we just take a minute to talk about the hair? Its an absolute dream of backcombed beautifulness and I can guarantee you I'd spend two hours trying to recreate it on myself before giving up and staring wistfully at these photos.

I hope you enjoyed this post, there's four more days worth of it coming up with me covering this weekend and then my sister being roped back in for Monday and Tuesday. If you happen to be around Covent Garden in the next couple of days, make sure you give me a tweet so I can come say hi!

  1. Ah you're right that hair is so lush. If only I was talented enough!
