So yesterday I wore a Vivienne Westwood design for the first ever time in my life. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't because someone had kindly decided to donate me one of her gorgeous corseted dresses that I constantly lust after. No, instead it turns out that Vivienne Westwood actually designed the King's College London graduation robes which I think is really pretty cool!
On that note, I'm sure that if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you caught wind of the fact that I was attending my MA graduation ceremony yesterday, receiving my Ancient History degree (pass with merit baby, yeah!) The past year or so has really stretched me academically as I tried to keep up with classes full of people that I felt were way out of my league in the intelligence stakes and I was really, really proud of myself for getting myself that merit in the end. The ceremony itself went by in a bit of a blur, as I concentrated on getting across the stage without falling over, although I did pay attention when a mouse was spotted running across the front of the stage.
Afterwards I headed out with Sean and my mum for a celebratory lunch at Steam and Rye where I had the most amazing popcorn themed cocktail followed by my favourite ever meal - a medium rare fillet steak with béarnaise sauce - I'm dribbling a bit just thinking about it! Now that I've finished with my MA its time to look forward to the next chapter in my life which would appear to be teacher training, I guess I'm just not quite ready to fully leave the world of being a student!
P.S. Please excuse the date stamp on these photos - my mum doesn't seem to have worked out how to turn it off yet...
