Swing Dress: Boohoo (via my sister's wardrobe)
Jacket: Wallis (again...my sister's wardrobe!)
So a couple of weeks ago I popped along to the DUO store in Covent Garden to have a nosy at their stock including the new party collection and listen to some talks on how to make it in the fashion/journalism business from the lovely Laura who does the Catwalk to Curvy column in Cosmopolitan and Jem the head of design at DUO.
Now there were some seriously gorgeous ankle boots and heeled shoes on display on the night but when it comes to Autumn/Winter wear I am always, always drawn to an over-the-knee high boot because its just so versatile and easy to wear. In that vein, I have a few different outfits featuring these boots coming up this week to show you how I like to wear them.
This first outfit is pretty simple really, you can't go too wrong with a dress and accessories and a nice pair of boots but the little twist on this one is that I'm not wearing tights! I find that if the dress (or skirt) is a decent length its nice to have a little bit of skin on show rather than having the solid black leg you get when you wear boots with thick tights. Do you agree?
