Interview Outfit #1

Shirt: OASAP*
Fluffy Jumper: New Look
Pleather Pencil Skirt: Topshop
Ankle Boots: Matalan*
Ring: New Look

So some of you might have seen me get a little bit excited on Twitter the other day that I had been offered a couple of job interviews! I had the first of them today and spent a good hour or so yesterday planning what I was going to wear, I'm so jealous of Sean because in his industry you wear a suit all the time so he doesn't even have to consider his wardrobe but that kind of look is just a teeny bit too formal and corporate for a lot of job sectors.

I decided to go quite smart but in a non-traditional way and paired a shirt and jumper combo with my trusty Topshop pleather pencil skirt, finished off with my new Matalan ankle boots. The end result hopefully comes across as professional but with a little bit of my personality shining through, what do you guys think?

  1. Looking perfect for a job interview my friend - they'd be fools not to offer it to you!

  3. I think you look fantastic, but honestly, I'd be a little put off if a candidate showed up to one of my interviews wearing a leather skirt and black nail varnish! This depends on he role though I guess - if you're applying for a job in fashion though I'm sure it's fine.

    1. I think it definitely depends on the industry, I have a job in a school tomorrow and I'll be going for a knee length shift dress ;) xo

  9. How did I miss this one- hope it all goes well, and there's some progress. I know it can be hard work, it took me 4 months to find a proper job after finishing my GDL last year. Persistence pays.
