Fur Collar and Leather Boots

Coat and Fur Collar: Topshop
Belt: Primark
Boots: DUO*

I bought this beautiful Topshop princess coat in the winter that I started blogging, and you can actually see it newly on in a hugely cringeworthy old blog post if you fancy it. I wore it to death for the next few months but then for some reason didn't really pull it out of my wardrobe last year, favouring a customised khaki jacket like almost everyone else in the country instead.

This year I'm putting it back in service which does at least show one thing, that its a classic coat that doesn't date! I'd forgotten how much I love the gorgeously soft fur collar that ties with a ribbon, the fabric covered buttons and lets not forget the super swishy skirt. Its the little details that make the perfect coat don't you think?

This is also the second instalment in my little 'how I wear my over the knee boots' series featuring my fabulous DUO Turner boots. This type of coat is the perfect length and style to pair with boots but beware, you might look so glam that you get stopped in the street by a guy who wants to know if you 'work in the fashion industry, because you're dressed so nice.' Nice try mate.

  7. I'm not really one for fur collars, but it looks great on you and I LOVE the coat.

  8. Gotta love a classic coat. I tried on what I thought was the coat of dreams recently- green, leather collar, boyfriend style that seems so on trend- I looked 10KG heavier than I am, and made me feel generally too old, too fat and too unfashionable for anything. I have since bought a very nice very dark green herringbone trench coat style coat, that gives me my waist back. Might not be on trend, but it sure as hell makes me look and feel better, and won't look dated next year!
