#fitforfestivefashion

I know, I know, please don't shoot me for putting up a festive themed post already, I promise you I'm not one of those super keen Christmas people that starts bulk buying Christmas chocolates in September. I'm giving this post a special dispensation for being up early because its for Duo's bid to find someone to help style their Christmas windows and I couldn't miss the chance to throw my hat in!

Basically, this little collage is my current dream party outfit styled around these gorgeous Duo Shoes with the contrasting metallic toe. Black and gold is one of my favourite colour schemes to work with when it comes to clothes because its so easy to find statement pieces that go with it such as these gorgeous red silk Lavish Alice trousers, I love trousers as part of a party outfit because then you don't have to faff about deciding if you're going to wear tights or not (or if you even have any non-laddered ones...)

The black Topshop Feathered Bomber is another gorgeous statement piece and solves the age-old problem of whether you're going to brave the cold to show off your outfit or throw on your coat until you arrive at your destination, why not make your jacket part of your outfit! The bold colour of the trousers and the texture of the jacket means that the top needs to be quite simple, and this River Island Cream Peplum Top fits the bill perfectly, the neutral colour complements the outfit without overwhelming it and the black and gold belt ties it all together. Last but not least, the outfit is finished off with some statement jewellery like this New Look Ring and these New Look Earrings.

    1. Isn't it gorgeous? I think it would - it looks quite cropped and the oversized shape of it would probably balance you out a bit! (i'm the same as you on the hip front) xo
