Gold!

Necklace: H&M
Dress (worn as top): Great Plains*
Skater Skirt: Topshop
Tights: Primark
Boots: New Look

About a month or so ago I was lucky enough to win a competition by Spreaditfast to choose an item of clothing from Great Plains, a clothing store I hadn't heard of before but reminds me quite a lot of brands like Warehouse or Whistles.

I chose this gorgeous shimmery gold dress because I loved the shape and colour of it, and I liked that it had the bodycon shape but that the loose overlay made it much more forgiving. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to wear it out as a dress yet, I feel like it needs to be teamed with some black tights and super high black heels in a cocktail bar somewhere. Luckily, it makes a great top if I want to dress it down a bit like I did today. The shape of it was perfect for the huge Giraffe burger that I had at lunch today (the restaurant chain, not the animal!)

Also the last picture doesn't really have anything to do with anything but we got some more chickens today! We have eight now, that's a lot of clucking in the mornings guys. Let me know if you have any amusing poultry-themed names for them, we already have Mother Clucker, Yolko Ono and McNugget.
