So I recently decided that I was going to stop doing my week of Instagram posts because most of you follow me on Instagram anyway and it seemed a bit pointless to show you all the same images twice. However, I do still love reading the personal posts on other blogs that give you a bit of an insight into what the author's life has been like in the last week or so. That is what has persuaded me to tweak my week in photos posts a bit and instead take a few snapshots of what I've been doing that hasn't already ended up online.
So what have I been up to recently? Firstly and most importantly, Sean and I have booked ourselves a holiday to Rome and we'll be staying in a room very like this near the Colosseum. I love how chintzy and over the top it is, I can't wait to go! I've also been spending a lot of time by the fire this week, its been super cold and my house is quite big so it doesn't heat up very well. Sometimes I have to fight my cat for the best spot though, he's so selfish.
I've been exercising my creative side a little bit and making a few of my own cards so that I don't have to shell out about a fiver for what is essentially a thick piece of paper. The only problem is that I'm very impatient and not very artistic so my creations are more corner shop than Paperchase at the moment.
Max and Sean are outside having a snowball fight at the moment, the fact that the snow barely settled doesn't seem to be stopping them as they're just scraping handfuls off of various surfaces in the garden like the trampoline and the rabbit hutch. I much prefer to stay in and drink mugs of tea and eat the pretty cupcakes that my sister made this week at a cupcake decorating class.
Lastly I've been rediscovering my (extremely) competitive spirit by playing Mario Kart a lot. Some of my family think I'm too competitive and I suppose I could give off that impression-this morning I shouted at Sean for overtaking me, punched my sister in the arm for knocking me off a bridge and screeched at the television as I got overtaken at the last second.
"FUCK YOU DONKEY KONG, YOU BASTARD!"

The cupcake looks lovely, your sister has a talent for them :-)
