what's on my bedside table?

I've seen this done so far by two of my favourite bloggers of all time, essiebutton and Jennie from sailboat so I thought I'd do it as well. My bedside table isn't as pretty as either of theirs unfortunately and it also has a lot less stuff on it, because I find that if I have it quite cluttered I just end up knocking things off it in my sleep-I fidget a lot! The nightstand is two tiered but all I keep on the bottom layer is my collection of soft toys and my magazine rack.

So, in the bottom right hand corner I have my Yankee Candle in Sugared Apple which I am in LOVE with, it just smells so yummy and I've already burnt about a third of it in a month, I'm slightly addicted. If you've been thinking of getting a festive kind of scent, get this one because it is gorgeous!

In the top right hand corner I have my little graduation bear that my mum and dad got for me on my graduation day in St Andrews this summer. I love the little knitted jumper that he wears, and he sits on my side table at all times.

At the top left hand corner I have my little vintage style wooden chest which now houses my collection of nail polishes-I don't have as many as a lot of bloggers because my sister is the nail fiend of the house and I usually just steal hers. On top of that chest I have all of the beauty products that I either want to use up or that I tend to reach for often in the day: vaseline, body butter, day and night moisturiser, hand and foot cream, eye cream, hand sanitiser and hair oil.

At the front of the table I have my kindle which is currently around twenty percent of the way through Tess of the D'Urbervilles, I'm finding it pretty hard going and I usually love classic books. Has anyone else read it? Please let me know if it gets any better...

Last but not least I have a nice cup of tea. Something that you can pretty much always find on my nightstand because I have about ten mugs a day...unfortunately the day I took this picture none of the nice mugs were left so I had a plain boring white one.

  9. I love these posts, I'm incredibly nosey! That bear is soooo lovely! I've actually been around my university's international office to see if I could do an exchange at St. Andrews

As for Tess...I had to read it for two different classes, once in English and once in French and I'm afraid it doesn't get easier no matter what the language you read it in. I never finished it and I sort of regret it but oh well! xx

  13. I HATE Thomas Hardy.
I've struggled through 3 of his "classics" so far, and each one has ended with tears of relief and a swift donation to a charity shop. Tess does get better, but then swiftly gets worse again about 3/4 of the way through. Good luck! xo
