New Hair Part One | John Frieda Full Repair

Hello lovelies! Notice anything different? If you were my boyfriend or my dad you'd probably be looking pretty confused right now, but since you aren't I'm going to assume that you've noticed that not only do I have ombre hair now, I also have a very blunt fringe!

I've been considering a change of hair for a while now as I was getting pretty bored with having mid-length, straight brown hair that didn't do anything interesting. I think the fringe and the hint of colour adds more depth to my hair than it had before, and also makes it look a bit more like it has a 'style'.

New hair of course, calls for a new haircare regime, and I've been lucky enough to have been sent a few hair bits and bobs that I have incorporated into my routine which I will be reviewing over the next couple of days.

First up-these John Frieda Full Repair products* which are now my go to items for when I just want to wash my hair, give it a quick blowdry and go.

I've used John Frieda products in the past, when I had bright red hair I used the Radiant Red range, I've often dabbled in the Brilliant Brunette range when its been on offer in Boots and my housemate was a massive fan of the Sheer Blonde products whenever she went back to having platinum hair.

This time I was thrilled to receive some of the Full Repair range to try out because obviously bleaching the end of my hair to achieve the ombre look left the tips of my hair in need of a bit of TLC. Having a fringe also means using my straighteners a lot more which can leave your hair feeling a bit stressed out.

Full Body Conditioner*
Protecting Root Lift Foam*
Style Creator Heat Activated Styling Spray*
Now whenever I wash my hair I apply the conditioner (particularly to the ends of my hair) and leave it for around 5 minutes before washing it off which I find really helps to get rid of the tangles and snags that I found appeared in my hair after I bleached it.

I then work the root lift foam into the roots of my hair before blowdrying it to create volume and finally I apply the styling spray to my hair (particularly my fringe) before straightening it which protects my hair from the heat but also helps to add shine to the finished look.

I would definitely recommend these products to anyone whose hair has had a bit of a battering recently, I really have noticed the difference in the look and feel of my hair since I started using them.
