Salon Addict

Hello lovelies! As you guys know, a few weeks back I did two weeks of volunteer work on an archaeological dig in Kent. After that I went up to my student house in Scotland and moved all of my stuff down to my parents house and into my room here. As you might be able to guess, by the end of all this scrabbling about my nails were in an absolutely horrific state-all different lengths with jaggy bits where they'd broken off and hangnails everywhere.
As you can see I was in dire need of a manicure. The problem was that I had no idea where to go and get one, whenever I've been to a salon in the last four years it has been the same one in St Andrews everytime. Being back on the outskirts of London meant that there was far too much choice for me to decide where to go.

This is where Salon Addict comes in. Salon Addict is the UK's largest site for booking hair and beauty treatments throughout London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester. All you do is pop in your postcode (or an area you know you'll be visiting) and hey presto you're presented with a list of salons, treatments and prices. You can sort your results by price, name of the salon, rating or how many reviews it has to make sure you pick one that fits your specifications.

One of the bonuses of using Salon Addict to book your treatments is that you get an advance booking discount (the further in advance the cheaper) and even though you have to pay a small deposit by debit or credit card to confirm your booking, that deposit is then payable in the salon for your treatment.

Recently I got an email from the lovely Lia who asked me if I'd like to try out this service and I was excited to give it a go. I would have been happy to go pretty much anywhere in London near a major train station but obviously you can be more specific than that. I specified that I would like to have a manicure and very quickly I had an appointment to go to Ide Hair and Beauty Salon in Vauxhall to have the treatment.

The salon was lovely and so was the manicurist, my only criticism was that I booked for Shellac but ended up with just a generic nail polish manicure though I'm sure if I'd realised in time and mentioned it I would have got the right manicure! Nevertheless I came out half an hour later with my nails all nice, tidy and colourfully painted.
Whilst I might not revisit the particular salon I went to this time as it did end up being a bit out of the way for me, I will definitely be having a search on the site for salons near my campus next year-cheeky pedicure in between lectures?

If you already have a favourite salon in one of the areas they cover, why not have a check that it is on the site and add it if it isn't? If you don't have a favourite salon, why not have a quick search now and see how much of a bargain you could get.

Whilst I received the manicure for free I was not paid for this post, and all my opinions are my own as usual!
