Grad Ball

Hello lovelies! A few people have asked to see some more photos of my hair, makeup and outfit for my Graduation Ball which was held last Friday, so here is a little post for you guys! I'll apologise in advance for the photos not being the same size, I'm piecing this post together from various Facebook uploads!

As I've mentioned before, my Grandma actually made my dress for me. Last year I picked out the pattern I wanted and the material I wanted it in, and many many fittings later I had a brand new one of a kind dress to wear!

I really wanted a full length dress for this ball, since it is kind of your last chance to go all out before leaving university! I wore royal blue and turquoise wedges with it, and I also had a royal blue oversized envelope clutch and blue jewellery.

Man in kilt-model's own ;)
When it came to my hair, I knew that I wanted to have it in a kind of side up-do on the right hand side so that you would be able to see the tie detail on the other shoulder properly. It took me a fair amount of time, a hair donut from Boots, a lot of bobby pins and about half a can of hairspray, but I finally got it how I wanted. Then I just pulled a few bits down from the other side and curled them.

I kept the majority of my makeup pretty similar to normal, Body Shop foundation, NARS Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blusher and MAC Shy Girl lipstick. Then I went for a full on smoky eye using the two grey/black shades from the bottom right corner of the new MUA Undressed palette* with a thick flick of gel eyeliner (Collection 2000*).

It was a really fun night and a great way to say bye for now to the friends I've made over the last four years of university. Goodbye St Andrews-I'll miss you!

P.S. It is almost time for the nominations for the Cosmo Blog Awards 2012 to close! If you fancied giving me a cheeky nomination for the Next Newcomer award here I would be dead chuffed!
