What's in my Makeup Bag?

Hello! I recently ordered myself a lovely new makeup bag from the fabulous people at Clippy London so I thought I'd show you it and what I carry around as my everyday makeup! (This is what I take if I'm staying over at my boyfriend's house, or going anywhere that I can't drag my massive Ted Baker cosmetics case to!)

At the moment I've just slipped in some cute cards I found in a local gift shop that were the perfect size and some inspiring(/hilarious) makeup quotes that I scribbled down. I want to get some nice pictures printed to put in there soon though. That is the ONLY issue with this makeup bag-nobody has Polaroids anymore!

It is the perfect size for all my essentials, but it still fits easily into my bag alongside my uni books, laptop, purse, keys, phone, notebooks....etc.

First up, the only brushes I carry around with me:

The Real Techniques Stippling Brush that I 'persuaded' my mum to buy for me before she came up to visit and which definitely lives up to all the hype that has been going around. I don't think I'll ever buy another foundation brush ever. The Ecotools brush is from a set (I keep the rest at home) and is what I carry around with me for a quick blush touch up. It is so lovely and soft, when its newly washed and dried I like to just rub it on my face. #Strange.

Secondly, my essential face products:

I'm using a BB cream at the moment rather than a foundation, because I haven't felt like my skin is ready for a new foundation ever since my 'Bourjois Trauma'. Luckily my skin isn't too bad at the moment so I don't need massive amounts of coverage. My Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer because I was too cheap to replace my expensive Estée Lauder one, and my YSL magic stick. (so good that that is the new name for it.) Last for my face-my new NARS Orgasm blusher that I won in a giveaway over at Stacey's blog. This is my favourite blusher I've ever tried in the history of the world ever. Get it. It is worth the price tag (even though I didn't pay for mine!)

Next up we have my eye products (no eyeshadow at the moment because I seem to now be allergic to having stuff all over my eyelids. Woop):

Estée Lauder eyeliner (another one I won't be replacing when its finished until I get a job) Soap and Glory Supercat liquid eyeliner which is one of my favourites, my HD Brows palette and a Collection 2000 mascara I picked up in Morrisons because I'd run out and which won't be getting replaced because it is rubbish. I need a new mascara-drugstore recommendations anyone?

Finally:

MAC Shy Girl which has become my generic go-to nude colour for when I don't fancy wearing anything bright, and my current nail polish which is a mini Leighton Denny one in shade Honey Trap. Pretty colour, but it needs a tonne of coats to get a solid finish.

And that is my makeup bag! Now I should probably sort through my Ted Baker case...

  2. Love that lipstick.. I was thinking of trying that one next.
For Mascara, I really like the Soap and Glory one but it's £10 so a bit pricey for drugstore mascara. Other than that, I really like the purple maybelline one (can't remember what it's called but they also do a yellow one too..)

  4. Aaaaah love these posts, because I'm so freaking nosey. My travel makeup bag is so not as varied or well prepped as yours. And I'm jealous you can get away with just BB Cream. Hope your skin recovers soon.

  6. I use the Eco Tools brushes and can completely understand the urge to stroke your blush brush on your face. So soft!
Also, I bloody love Soap and Glory's liner. AMAZING.
