Zebra Crossing

Hi guys! I'm actually in my pyjamas and dressing gown right now being thoroughly lazy, so this is what I was wearing yesterday-just a casual outfit for hanging around the house and popping into town for a coffee with a friend. (Although I changed into boots and added a coat for the second part-otherwise I'd be frozen in the middle of a pavement somewhere right now.)

As some of you might have already guessed, I am extremely obsessed with animals on clothes and jewellery. If ever anyone were to want to buy me a present and be sure I would like it, that would be the go-to item. Cats, owls, parrots, horses, more cats, snakes...my wardrobe is a veritable menagerie.

The shirt I wore yesterday is actually one of my favourites, because not only does it have animals printed on it, but it is also animal print! And who doesn't want to look like they've crashed into a zebra at high speed?

Here's a close up of the shirt pattern:

There's actual little zebras running around amidst the zebra print! How could I possibly resist such a gorgeous shirt? Its from one of the little concessions that are stocked in the bigger New Look stores, but I bought it about a year ago so its probably gone now I'm afraid! It is quite sheer so I tend to wear a black cami under it, although if I were braver I could probably get away with just a black bra. I also love the pussybow style and the little frill at the neckline.

Yesterday I wore it paired with a new pair of black velvet leggings that I picked up for five pounds in the New Look sale. I can't find them online, but you can find similar pairs on Ebay if you just search for black velvet leggings-or why not try a different colour?

They're really comfy, and just make an outfit stand out a bit more than a pair of plain jersey leggings in my opinion.

To finish the look, I added some Limited Edition Barry M Silver Glitter nail polish (love it but can tell its going to be a bugger to get off) and a selection of rings from my ever growing collection.

The top ring is from Dainty Roses and is sold out in the red but if you like it, it is still available in the black. The middle ring was a Christmas present from my lovely mum, and the bottom one is a vintage diamond ring inherited from my Great Great Great Aunt.

What do you think of my casual outfit? Do you like animal prints and patterns on clothes? (of course you do.)
