Happy New Year

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012!

I know it isn't New Years until tomorrow, but I thought I'd get this up tonight since tomorrow everyone will be ushering in 2012!

I'm excited for a new year, I know people say that you can change things at any time, but there's something about a clean slate that makes me feel more optimistic! What can I say, its the OCD in me. This year is going to bring about a lot of changes for me, I'll be graduating in June (hopefully!) and moving down to London with my boyfriend so I'll be looking for jobs and flats and all sorts of scary grown up stuff. I have to say, I'm absolutely petrified about finding a job-I really don't want to do something I don't enjoy, but you can't really be too picky at the moment can you? I suppose all I can do is do as well as I can at university and apply for every job I see!

I've made some resolutions to help me get towards what I think will make me happy this coming year, do you want to see? (Tough, I need to fill up this blog post.)

Resolutions:

  • Start eating more healthily-I barely ever have my 5 a day, and I eat far too much pasta and too many ready meals-time to start cooking from scratch!
  • EXERCISE! My therapist and doctor have been telling me for ages that doing some form of exercise will probably help with my anxiety, so I need to stop being lazy! I've just ordered the 30 day shred to do with my house-mate, that could be very interesting...
  • Do all the university work I'm supposed to do. I've got far too good at getting by on as little work as possible, and I really need to start doing extra reading rather than just what we're told to do in class. If I do this, perhaps I will actually end up with a 2:1 in June!
  • Actually save some money! I'm supposedly going to be moving into my own flat with my boyfriend near the end of the year, and I live out of my overdraft. I spend loads on magazines, and ebay, and just general stuff I don't really need and I need to stop. I'm going to attempt to have some form of control over my spending, I just need to work out how I'm going to do that...
  • Be Happy. I'm going to keep on with my therapy, spend time with my friends and boyfriend and try not to stress too much about things I can't change because all it does is make my anxiety worse.
  • BLOG! I can't believe what has happened since I started this blog just at the start of October. I've gained 253 followers as of just now, been to two blogger events and one blogger meet up, and met and talked to so many really wonderful girls, some who I feel have become real friends. I'm hoping to improve the blog, keep posting, and hopefully make more lovely bloggy friends!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! See you in 2012 everyone :) xxx
